One of the key tools in my NLP Rapid change arsenal is EFT Tapping also known as Emotional Freedom Technique or Meridian Tapping.
EFT works so well because it bypasses the thinking, conscious mind and works directly on the body’s energy system. It also combines elements of NLP such as linguistic collapse anchoring as well as eye movement.
In fact if NLP is “An attitude and methodology that leaves behind a trail of techniques” as NLP co founder Richard Bandler states, then EFT is one of the techniques that fits nicely in any NLP practitioner’s tool kit.
Gary Craig, the creator of EFT was also trained as an NLP practitioner so the fields are definitely in alignment.
As an NLP Master Practitioner and Trainer I use EFT personally as well as teaching it to everyone of my clients and students. In addition I often am in situations where I am using primarily EFT because of distance or time constraints.
EFT Tapping or Meridian Tapping involves tapping gently on specific energy meridians on the face, body and hands.
I’ve used it successfully with Anxiety sufferers, phobias, post traumatic stress disorder, panic attacks, smoking cessation, weight loss, pain management, releasing limiting beliefs and negative behavior patterns like shyness or depression or self sabotage. It’s applications are endless.
What I also find is that tapping along with another person increases it’s effectiveness 10 fold.
